Broccolini
Cooking Methods
| Method | Temp | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roasted | 375–450°F (190–230°C) | 12–15 min | Use two sheet pans rather than crowding one — overcrowded broccolini steams instead of crisping. |
| Sautéed | Medium heat, then covered | 8–10 min | Sauté with garlic 2 min, then add a little water and cover to steam the stems tender. |
| Steamed (pan-steamed) | Covered skillet, medium-low | ~5 min | Steam covered until bright green and tender, then uncover to let residual liquid evaporate. |
| Grilled | Medium-high, direct heat (450–500°F) | 2–3 min per side | Lay stalks perpendicular to the grates so they don't fall through. |
Broccolini's stems are naturally tender, so unlike broccoli it rarely needs peeling — just trim, and halve lengthwise if thick.
